Jay is a Senior Vice President / Private Wealth Advisor with Americana Partners in Dallas. Jay began his 25-year career on Wall Street with First Boston, and in 2007 he opened the first Institutional Sales Office for Morgan Stanley in Dallas. In 2012, along with legendary entrepreneur T. Boone Pickens, Jay founded Sporting Ranch Capital which was a real estate private equity fund formed to acquire recreational ranch properties primarily in the Rocky Mountain West.
Sheldon is currently a Managing Director / Founding Partner of Americana Partners. Sheldon was a Vice President Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley since 2009. Prior to that, he worked with a regional planning and research team at UBS through the Financial Advisor Associate Program. Sheldon was a former board member of the Young Men’s Business League of Austin. He received a B.A. in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University and currently holds a Certified Financial Planner™ Designation.

Originally from Dallas, Josh graduated with honors from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and was the recipient of the Outstanding Financial Consulting Major award. Josh also attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, where he earned the designation of Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®). Prior to his academic achievements Josh has 10 years of entrepreneurial and management experience in areas that include business strategy, operations, business process redesign and franchise development within the transportation industry.
Josh resides in Dallas with his wife Emily. He is an avid cyclist and member of Park Cities Baptist Church.

John is currently Managing Director of Americana Partners. Before joining Americana, John headed the southwest region for Jefferies, and prior to that was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where he established the Dallas prime broker office and focused on creating and executing growth strategies for the region. He brings over 30 years of experience in the brokerage and equities business, as well as being a well-respected influence in the hedge fund community.
John graduated from Vanderbilt University and is a very active philanthropist, sitting on the board of directors for the Mike Modano Foundation, Chairman of the Board for Jonathan’s Place, and co-founder of Capital for Kids, an organization that has distributed over $21 million to local children’s charities since inception 19 years ago.
John currently resides in Dallas and has two children, Will and Sara.
Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Michelle uses her extensive knowledge and expertise to deliver highly customized services to our clients. Previously, she was an Associate Vice President and Wealth Management Associate at Morgan Stanley for more than 10 years. Prior to that, she was a Registered Associate at UBS Financial Services for 16 years. Michelle currently holds both the Series 7 and 66 registrations.
Passionate about community service, Michelle was a member of the Farmers Branch City Council from 2009 through 2012. In 2016, she was the Chair of the Citizen Bond Committee and was recognized for her leadership when she was awarded the Mayor’s Leadership Excellence Award in 2018. Michelle is currently a board member of the Valwood Improvement Authority and is also an active member of The Civic League, which serves the Addison, Carrollton and Farmers Branch communities.

Prior to that, he worked as an Associate for J.P. Morgan within the Asset-Based Lending group. Paul received a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.

Allen Sabanovic is a Compliance Officer for Americana Partners. In this role, he assists the Chief Compliance Officer in leading the compliance organization, which is responsible for developing the compliance governance framework, and ensuring that risks generated by the business are measured, reviewed and monitored on an ongoing basis alongside our regulatory requirements.
Prior to Joining Americana Partners, Allen worked for Morgan Stanley for over 18 years and held various positions within compliance and risk management. He served as a Branch Examiner, a Compliance Registered Options Principal, and an Associate Regional Risk Officer for the Central Region. As the Associate Regional Risk Officer and was responsible for the oversight of risk management across 13 states, and more than 2500 branch managers, financial advisors, and operational staff.
Originally from New York, Allen has been married to his wife, Roseanne, for over 20 years, and they currently reside in the Dallas area. They have two children, Jordan and Maddox, and they love spending their leisure time with family and friends, as well as traveling.
David is the Director of Trading for Americana Partners. He is a 30-year veteran with a deep understanding of market structure and trade analysis. Prior to Americana, David was a Managing Director at Avalon in Houston. He has extensive experience as the head trader for several long/short hedge funds, including two Tiger Cubs – Highside Capital in Dallas, and Water Street Capital in Jacksonville, FL. The first half of his career was spent on the floor of the NYSE as a Specialist for Fleet/Bank of America and Spear, Leeds & Kellogg. David was born and raised in Charleston, WV and received a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.
